Overview
Hexagon Autonomous Solution is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our Global Operations Team, committed to customer service excellence and continuous improvement. As a Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will deliver comprehensive manufacturing test solutions as part of our overall manufacturing process development within a progressive, high-technology electronics manufacturing organization. You will gain exposure to both hardware and software design within a unique and interesting product line. In this highly collaborative role, you will serve as the bridge among Product Development, Manufacturing Process Engineering, and our Global Manufacturing Sites. This position requires travel approximately 2 times per year.
The Location : Hexagon is a global company with locations worldwide. This position is based in Calgary, AB.
Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the following :
- Driving Design for Testing (DFT) Review by collaborating proactively with R&D and hardware design early in the product lifecycle to ensure new designs are optimized for testability.
- Developing test requirements and procedures for new products.
- Creating product-specific testing software using C++ / C# and Lua languages.
- Designing product-specific test fixture hardware, including :
- Creating schematic / wiring diagrams with Altium.
- Performing or directing PCB Layout and engaging with vendors.
- Designing Mechanical CAD parts.
- Collaborating with test fixture mechanical suppliers.
- Leading failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) for testing solutions.
- Qualifying test solution designs through measurement system analysis (MSA), Test Coverage Analysis and Validation.
- Supporting prototype and pilot build testing at global manufacturing locations, problem-solving with design and manufacturing teams.
- Analyzing production data to deliver data-driven reports to engineering and operations for improved product quality and yield.
- Continuously improving the test development process by recognizing, communicating, and resolving recurring issues.
Qualifications
Must-Have :
Strong verbal and written communication skills.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Software, or Mechatronics Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in hardware development or electronics manufacturing (relevant internships may be considered).Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematic diagrams.Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.Practical experience with object-oriented programming and scripting, specifically in C++ and C#.Key Success Factors :

Advanced scripting experience utilizing Lua and Python.Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA development flows.Practical mechanical design skills and familiarity with CAD software.Fundamental understanding of GNSS and RF technologies.Possession of a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally.Capability to safely lift and handle equipment weighing up to 15kg (33lbs).Not sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
