Overview

Join us enabling trade through Canada’s largest port. We are an arm’s‑length federal agency responsible for the stewardship of the lands and waters of the Port of Vancouver. Our mandate is to support Canada’s trade objectives while protecting the environment and local communities.

What You’ll Do

• Direct vehicles, passengers, and general access to and from the cruise facility at Canada Place.
• Perform traffic attendant duties as required at Canada Place and cruise staging areas.
• Wear appropriate PPE as required (steel‑toe boots, high‑viz vests, etc.). All PPE is provided.
• Maintain effective communication with passenger agents, ground transportation and service contractors, cruise passengers and others, balancing customer service and operational efficiency.
• Complete occurrence reports and / or daily logs as required.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

Job Details

Normal Hours of Work : 20 to 40 hours per week, including weekends (full time, part time and casual hours available).

Duration : Approximately April 2026 to mid‑October 2026.

Location : Vancouver, Canada.

Job type : Bargaining Unit, Seasonal, In‑person.

Work Conditions

Traffic Attendants will work on Canada Place grounds within the porte‑cochere and outside premises. They will stand most of their shifts and be exposed to weather elements.

Eligibility & Application

Must be available to attend mandatory training on April 27 and 28, 2026, and complete a shadow shift on April 24 or April 29, 2026. Must have legal entitlement to work in Canada. Applicants may be subject to background checks.
