As our industry continues to evolve and we serve more customers around the world its our people who drive our success as a leading global dairy Intern Quality Control will learn and practice the day -to-day work in a Research and Development (R&D) and Technical Services laboratory. The intern will participate in the diagnosis of potential problems in order to help the Saskatoon plant and will take part in the regular Quality Assurance processes performed in the facility .
The Internship will begin on May 11 th and end A ugust 14 th 202 6 .

HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER ...
Provide support to the QC team on assigned food safety tasks documentation corrective / preventive actions data entry & analyses audits / inspections sampling presentations etc.
Provide support to the QC team on product / ingredient testing (micro chemical organoleptic) online checks swabbing shelf-life studies trials and other assigned project tasks etc.
Identify improvement opportunities within the QC team and the SK Business related to safety quality / food safety cost production etc. Will support in implementation where possible.
Ad-hoc requests and Special Projects.
YOU ARE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YO U ...
Are currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Biotechnology Biochemistry Microbiology Science Laboratory Technology or a similar discipline relevant to Food Sciences ( Process / Chemical / Biochemical / Food Science or Engineering ) ;
Have previous related internship experience (an asset );
E xperience working in a laboratory ( Laboratory Testing Data Analysis Food Safety Inspection / Auditing etc ) ;
Previous experience in food or dairy industry milk and dairy chemistry (an asset ) ;
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and effective communication skills ;
Have strong time management skills : you will manage priorities and multiple projects at a time all while ensuring to meet deadlines.
