Winter Technical Co-op - Systems Integration & Test

About the role

The successful candidate contributes to our key projects as a member of our Integration, Test, and Evaluation (IT&E) Cross Product Team (CPT) as follows :

• Support functional testing of combat system software
• Support system integration testing leading to acceptance of combat system software
• Support regression testing of combat system software.

As part of an agile scrum team with the Integration Test team, duties include :

• Develop test plans and procedures to verify software requirements in an Agile environment
• Document results in the Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) Test Management System
• Document, assess, and test deficiencies using the Lockheed Martin defect tracking tool

As part of an agile scrum team integrated with the SW engineering team, duties include :

• Develop test plans and procedures to verify user stories and SW requirements in an Agile environment (Jira / Redmine)
• Develop and execute tests using the Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) Automated Test Tool (Python / Linux)
• Document results in the Agile project management system
• Document, assess, and test deficiencies
• Participate in Release and Sprint planning, as required

What you bring to the role

• Proceeding in a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
• Must be willing to support schedule including evenings and weekends, as required
• Must have an aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
• Must have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
• Must be able to obtain North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret security clearance.

Additional skills desired for the role

• Software test automation experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
• Familiarity with Linux
• Familiarity with BASH and Python
• Familiarity with Subversion and / or Git
• Familiarity with Java and C++ is considered an asset
• Familiarity with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) is considered an asset
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodology is considered an asset
