MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Records Manager to work on a 1 year contract, with a high potential of renewal, with on of BC'

s largest utility and energy companies.

This is a hybrid role based out of their Burnaby office.

Requirements :

  • Advanced knowledge of records management theory, principles, and methodology.
  • Experience developing and implementing record management and archival policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated experience at a senior level (in large organizations) in records management and archival services planning and development.
  • Ability to provide advice and leadership to executives, line managers, and staff, in operational and office environments.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and / or managing indexing / classification, taxonomies, and electronic management systems, and strategic records, information, and imaging systems.
  • Excellent change management, communication and interpersonal skills; contract, project management, and risk assessment skills
  • Ability to assess current industry trends and emerging business requirements, technologies, and develop strategies for the effective provision of records and information management.
  • Complete project management activities including scoping, planning, managing, monitoring, and reporting on project tasks.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship management skills including analytical thinking, coaching skills, negotiation skills, as well as presentation, facilitation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills to fulfill business needs.
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders in a matrix reporting environment through regular reporting and communication using excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills enabling timely progression of projects.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of project management practices and procedures, and hands-on experience in applying these to optimize project resources.
  • Understands and has experience implementing corporate retention schedules.
  • Experience with leading and implementing projects relating to digitization and / or digital preservation.

Education :

  • Master’s Degree in Library and Information Studies, Archival Studies, Information Studies or similar designation
  • A combination of work experience and educational background may be considered
