The Software Development Manager manages a team of developers to design, implement, and maintain software for Sciex products. This position reports to the Director, Software Development and is part of the Software Department located in Concord, Canada and will be an on‑site role.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for managing a software engineering team to design, implement, and maintain software for Sciex products. Provide strong technical leadership and direction to the team by supervising architectures and leading to develop the technical roadmap of projects / products.
• Attract, recruit and retain top‑notch talent. Facilitate talent development through performance management and coaching.
• Be responsible for staffing and executing multiple projects to ensure they are delivered on time, on budget, with good quality and meet customer needs.
• Create and support an innovative engineering culture focused on quality, technical collaboration, efficiency, ownership, and accountability.
• Lead and support the team in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.
• Provide project management and technical leadership for every aspect of software development.
• Collaborate and negotiate with personnel inside and outside the departments to ensure effective planning and successful development of software products.
