About the Role

Our products are only valuable to our customers if they are safe and reliable. That is where you come in. You will be working as part of a Supportability Team, focusing on a variety of Safety Engineering tasks and initiatives. This role requires someone with a can‑do attitude, strong technical background, an eagerness to learn new things, and a passion for System Safety.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work in the Specialty Engineering group with a specific emphasis on System Safety
• Promote System Safety awareness and its importance throughout the business
• Decompose customer requirements pertaining to System Safety
• Support Bids and Proposal activities, generating bid responses and estimating work packages for System Safety analysis activities
• Define the System Safety requirements and risks for each project in conjunction with the Lead Systems Engineer
• Partner with design team throughout design process to ensure that System Safety requirements are achieved
• Review vendor documentation and challenge supplier analysis
• Produce preliminary sub‑assembly safety assessment in support of product development
• Participate and promote safety in design reviews
