Job Description

The Sr. Regional Engineer will provide high level of technical support for engineering management located within the region of responsibility. They will work on complex technical problems and provide innovative and creative solutions. In addition, they will support sales teams across the region with technical selling and troubleshooting, presenting to customers as needed.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide engineering support for troubleshooting, commissioning issues and technical mitigation of potential warrantee scenarios, escalating support as necessary and working across the organization with Central Expertise, other experts across Engineering Solutions, Sales and Aftermarket, Quality, and Legal
  • Represent regional engineering a prime technical contact on contracts and projects
  • Support sales personnel with technical presentations for targeted opportunities, improving customer relationships and winning business.
  • Make seal, systems, couplings and filtration selections to support Sales and Aftermarket on your region using iProjects, with a focus on Energy Transition and other challenging applications.
  • Provide technical product and / or software training both internally and for customers.
  • Complete project and application engineering requests on time within business expectations
  • Mentor engineers on your region to grow their talent
  • Develop technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems
  • Support troubleshooting and commissioning across the region
  • Guide the successful completion of major programs and lead projects when required

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified Engineer, BEng, MEng or equivalent, maybe enhanced by professional membership / chartership - e.g. MIMechE, CEng.
  • Experienced technical professional able to support regional engineering to solve most complex customer problems.
  • Broad product knowledge, and the ability to manage and interact with technical experts across the JC product portfolio.
  • Commercial acumen. In particular, understanding of the contractual path in complex business relationships involving OEMs, contractors and end-users and the ability to manage each as appropriate.
