They have historically been a great employer with career development opportunities and growth potential. The company is focused on Residential development, predominantly in low density, singles and townhomes.
There are years of land bank to develop, but there is always a thirst for more land to develop in the future.
Your new role
As the General Manager of Land Development, you will have a place in the senior leadership of the company and be responsible for working with the Residential team as well as your own internal team for Greenfield Land Development.
You will lead from the front, providing strategic direction as well as guiding your team.
You will oversee the leadership of your department, keep senior management up to date on projects, as well as constantly search out new opportunities including joint ventures, and work efficiently with outside consultants, other building partners as well as internal partners.
You will work to minimize expenses while searching for ways to be more efficient, to be more profitable and ensure that best practices are followed at all times.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this vital role, you should have at least 10+ years of experience in Greenfield Land Development with a progressive career track record of success.
You must have strong Residential development experience, particularly in the areas of low rise, single and townhomes. Post-secondary education should include either Engineering or Construction Management.
You must have strong business acumen as well as strong expertise in finance, strong communication and interpersonal skills and be a strong problem solver.
