Job Summary
We are looking for an EE Systems Validation Engineer - PSP on a contract basis in Windsor, ON, to develop electrical system validation test plans and procedures for automotive body, audio, active chassis and / or safety systems.
What You Will Do
The EE Systems Validation Engineer develops electrical system validation test plans and procedures for automotive body, audio, active chassis and / or safety systems.
Responsibilities
- The extensive use of CAN testing tools and traditional electrical testing equipment in an electrical lab atmosphere to test and troubleshoot vehicle systems.
- Design automated test benches to support the above systems.
- Troubleshoot complex automotive electrical issues.
Basics (Qualifications)
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Experience with ASIL Classification / Functional Safety (ISO26262) processes.Understanding of cybersecurity requirements.Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Ethernet bus interface specifications.Proficiency in using CANoe and CANcase tools.Proficiency in schematic and PCB layout review.Work with cross‑functional areas to develop lamp electronics design proposals and negotiate balance.Design exterior lighting electronics hardware to interface with the client’s vehicle electrical architecture.Support root cause analysis of electronics failures, including component tests, pre‑production properties and launch / current product.Coordinate and conduct benchmarking to support design direction competitiveness.Support technical discussion for advanced component or technology development.Product development team leadership experience and program management of new subsystem development required.Communicate information to and from internal (PDT, regular program meetings, scheduled peer reviews and program gate reviews) and external customer organizations.Create and support Interface Control Document requirements for component and subsystem interfaces; assist or lead Electronics Product Development Team meetings.100% onsite position.Driving a vehicle required.Travel to Mexico or US supplier plants possibly.How You Will Be Successful
