PROFILE SUMMARY

Wesgroup is poised for substantial growth over the next several years and in preparation for this exciting and challenging phase, we are actively seeking a highly engaged, driven and experienced Director, Sales to join our team.

As the Director of Sales at Wesgroup, you will ensure the Sales department functions as expected to achieve the company's sales and revenue targets.

You will develop strategic plans and initiate actions that can increase the company's revenue. You will oversee the site sales team of 15+ staff, in addition to head office sales roles.

Additionally, the Director of Sales will study market trends, be quick to pivot, and advise top management on necessary action plans.

This role will be based out of head office and sales centres, with typical workdays, Monday to Friday. Availability on weekends is required during launches and events.

A talented Director of Sales should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while still delivering exceptional results.

You will have a dedication and passion for encouraging and motivating employees. Confidence and collaboration will be an essential selling point in the office setting.

This is a fixed term assignment for approximately 20 months with the possibility of an extension.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Planning and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Marketing on project branding and strategies. Identify new and innovative sales strategies that complement marketing efforts to maximize sales volume and project revenue.
  • Work with marketing prior to project launches to create a strategy and launch plan. Review marketing materials including floorplans, kits, brochures, eblasts and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other departments on unit mix, product design, spec recommendations, and amenities.
  • Work with the Finance and Development teams to understand finance and revenue targets and provide up to date sales absorption numbers to align with company goals.
  • Provide market intelligence and ongoing competitive market analysis.
  • Work with Vice President of Sales to develop short-term and long-term sales strategies for projects to generate more revenue or increased absorptions as the sales campaign moves forward.
  • Present sales strategies and project updates to senior leadership teams throughout the project life cycle.
  • Participate in the Project Leadership team to solve complex project issues.
  • Attend weekly and bi-weekly project meetings and work closely with various company departments to foster a collaborative environment.

Team Management and Development

  • Position Wesgroup for future growth by creating a talent pipeline of A-list players.
  • Manage staff planning for each project, while balancing the knowledge, skills, and abilities of each salesperson.
  • Participate in the onboarding of new salespersons to ensure their successful integration into Wesgroup.
  • Conduct performance reviews for Sr. Sales staff and provide feedback on areas of growth and improvement. Foster an environment for all Senior Sales Manager to thrive and to grow Jr. sales staff.
  • Motivate and inspire employees to meet sales targets.

Sales Operations and Customer Service

  • Establish daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly targets to act as a guideline that enables measurement of individual and team performance.
  • Lead first-class customer service experience for Homeowners, Realtors, and colleagues.
  • Support the Property Management team with rental projects.
  • Provide sales staff for leasing projects.
  • Attend realtor galas and events to build and maintain Realtor relationships.
  • Create good rapport with customers while building and maintaining their trust.
  • Resolve any customer complaints and challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • 12+ years of proven experience in a senior sales role, preferably in real estate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field is an asset.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Experience in team management and development.
  • Experience in collaborating with Marketing, Development, Property Management, Leasing, Construction, Interior Design, and other departments.
  • Excellent proficiency with budgets, financials and proformas.
  • Proficiency in sales and CRM software.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent thinker with a creative mindset.
  • Confidence in decision making and not afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Proficiency in market analysis and competitive intelligence.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies.

EXPECTED COMPENSATION

  • Annual Base Salary : The expected salary range for this role is $155,000 - $195,000 per annum. Actual offered salary will depend on individual experience, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions for the role, and internal equity.
  • Assignment completion bonus.
