General Manager, Corporate Services and Public Safety

Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the General Manager of Corporate Services and Public Safety is accountable for the overall direction and management of the Corporate Services and Public Safety Division. As a member of the senior management team, this role assists in creating and implementing strategic direction for the entire organization and leads the division in strategic planning, corporate initiatives, and delivery of division related objectives within the Corporate Plan and Official Community Plan.
Responsibilities
The Corporate Services and Public Safety Division provides council, residents, taxpayers, visitors, and the municipality with leadership and resources in the corporate services areas of finance, information technology, and legislative services; and in public‑safety services including fire, bylaw, emergency management, fire safety, and RCMP. The General Manager works with community, resort, and other partners to facilitate and promote the economic success of the resort community and further an attractive investment climate. Direct reports include the Chief Financial Officer, Fire Chief, Manager of Legislative Services, Manager of Protective Services, Manager of IT, Corporate Services Administrative Coordinator, and the Officer in Charge and Staff Sergeant of the RCMP Sea to Sky Detachment.

Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range is $178,778.00 to $195,477.00. We offer a comprehensive benefit package, a nine‑day fortnight schedule, eligibility to participate in the organization’s recreation and transit pass program, and a hybrid work program.
Other Requirements
Applicants must hold a valid Class 5 BC driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract and Police Information Check prior to commencing employment.
