Job Title : Material Handler - Yard

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in an industrial yard environment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience operating a forklift and will be comfortable moving large steel and heavy metal materials. Responsibilities will include rigging materials and using an overhead crane, with a work balance of 50% machinery operation and 50% manual labor. We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, a go-getter attitude, and reliability in attendance.

• Rig materials securely and operate an overhead crane for material transport.
• Engage in physical labor tasks as required, contributing to manual operations.
• Maintain punctuality and reliability in work attendance.

Work Environment

Work is based in a shop located in Surrey / Port Kells with a morning shift starting at 7 AM for 8 hours, plus overtime. An afternoon shift is also opening soon. The position operates on a 10 days on / 4 days off rotation. Enjoy two paid coffee breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The workplace maintains a supportive environment with opportunities for learning and advancement.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.02 - $31.55 / hr.
