The 2nd or 3rd Year HVAC / Refrigeration Mechanic is located in Calgary, Alberta reporting to the Division Manager or their designate and requires travel to surrounding areas. The 2nd or 3rd Year HVAC / Refrigeration Mechanic is primarily responsible for the efficient operations and maintenance to a variety of HVAC equipment. The position includes, but is not limited to, installation, identifying the cause of malfunctioning parts / equipment, repair, inspection, etc. Working directly with customers to ensure they are completely satisfied with the work required.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Perform routine predictive planned maintenance duties
• Complete work orders and deficiency reports
• Assemble and install refrigeration and air conditioning components
• Test heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems for leaks
• Repair and replace components for entire heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
• Reading and interpreting blueprints
• Handle, recover and store refrigerants
• Test and repair electronic components
• Clean evaporator and condenser coils
• Work on air conditioner / heat pump ductless splits
• HRV / ERV service and maintenance
• Roof top unit (RTU) start up and maintenance both in air conditioning and heating season
• May occasionally be required to work over 40 hours per week and be available for on-call duties
• Other duties as required
