General Description :
The Senior Business Process Manager drives cross-functional business process transformation and enables AI-powered workflows responsibly and at scale. This role combines deep process engineering expertise with the ability to design future-state value stream processes that incorporate automation and augmentation that produce measurable improvements. They ensure that every improvement initiative starts from a strong process foundation and aligns to enterprise standards as a culture champion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
How Will I Make an Impact? :
1) Process Discovery & Redesign
- Develop and execute a roadmap for process re-engineering with automation and AI that prioritizes high-impact areas of the business that have the appropriate AI maturity and readiness where improvement can be quantitatively measured.
- Lead facilitated workshops to mapcurrent-state, cross-functionalvalue stream workflows, uncover pain points, waste and non-value add activities, and challenge entrenched behaviours using industry best practices across many functions.
- Ask critical, provocative questions to shift teams from “familiar but inefficient” patterns and inspire future-state thinking.
- Design future state processes in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for automation or augmentation within redesigned workflows and articulate requirements for technical teams.
- Document and maintain a centralised process knowledge base with enterprise SOPs, maps, and prioritised backlog for transformation.
2) Standards & Governance
Develop blueprints and design standards for AI-enabled processes focused on simplicity, clarity, compliance, and scalability.Maintain a registry of operational assets and ensure process lifecycle governance (intake → design review → production → monitoring).Create and update governance materials such as design checklists, approval workflows for new automation initiatives, version-controlled templates for process maps and agentic designs and audit logs and dashboards for tracking usage, ownership, and performance.3) Ways of Working & Change Enablement
Leverage agile and PMI project management practices to manage work.Teach stakeholders on lean, agile, and process improvement practices; publish playbooks and guidance to accelerate adoption within functions.Guide teams on how to make decisions on when to apply automation and AI.Communicate complex ideas simply and persuasively to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.Stay up to date with industry trends, process improvement tools, and emerging technologies to continuously improve efficiency.Competencies :

8–10+ years in business process engineering, operations, or analysis in global tech environments.Proven track record of facilitating transformation workshops and delivering measurable process improvements.Experience experimenting with automation and agentic workflowsCertifications : Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred); Agile / Project / Change Management (PMP, CSM, Prosci) a plus.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; thrives in ambiguity and rapid change.The expected base salary range for a new hire in this role is listed below. The annualized base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and industry. As part of the total compensation at D2L the role may be eligible for additional benefits including a Wellness Subsidy, Equity Grants, Variable Incentive, and more.
Base Salary Range$90,000—$116,500 CAD
