Parts Technician - Temporary
Location : Fort McMurray, AB
Diversified Transportation has an immediate opening for an Parts Technician based in Fort McMurray. This is a full-time temporary position lasting approximately 1 - 3 months with the possibility of extension. The shift is Monday through Friday from 7 : 30 am - 4 : 00 pm.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Ensure parts, commodities and shop supplies are kept at required levels to maintain Diversified's diverse fleet consisting of a Motorcoach Division of over 400 Prevost and MCI models, a Yellow Bus Division of over 300 Thomas, International CE and 3300+ models, and over 50 light duty vehicles of Sprinters & GMC 1500 models
- Process all parts enquiries including coordinating and charging out to work orders when required
- Act as liaison between the shop and the supplier in sourcing and purchasing required parts
- Be responsible for coordinating returns, credits and billing of parts
- Maintain part warehouse inventory and ensure accuracy in Web Fleet Assist (WFA)
- Undertake cycle counts of inventory
- Coordinate the shipping and receiving of all parts, tools and commodities
- Distribute parts on back order and prepare requisition orders
- Ensure cleanliness of Parts Room and work area
- Be aware of Health & Safety issues and ensure all staff are able to work in a safe manner, reporting issues, as necessary
