We are looking for a resolute and skilled Medical Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of ceiling lifts, mobile lifts, rail systems and associated equipment used in healthcare facilities.
This role requires a strong technical background, mindfulness, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
The Medical Equipment Technician will ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and safely, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
This position involves troubleshooting complex issues, performing routine inspections / maintenance, and providing technical support to the healthcare staff.
The successful candidate will have excellent critical thinking skills, a thorough understanding of patient lift equipment, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
Additionally, the Patient Lift Technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and staying up to date with advancements in medical technology.
This is a critical role that directly impacts patient care and safety, making it essential for the candidate to be highly dependable and meticulous.
Responsibilities for Biomedical Equipment Technician
- Perform scheduled maintenance inspections, urgent repairs, and performance assurance inspections on lift equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions.
- Test and calibrate components using a variety of manuals & troubleshooting techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Stay up to date with advancements in medical technology.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities in a timely manner.
