This role is well suited to a leader who enjoys equipping and developing others and working closely with a Board, senior staff, and community stakeholders to maintain a safe, welcoming, and vibrant public harbour.
Position : Part-time (~20 hours / week)
Reports to : Board of Directors
Compensation : $45,000.00-$50,000 / year (0.5 FTE)
Position Summary :
The Executive Director (ED) provides overall leadership for Gibsons Landing Harbour Authority (GLHA) and serves as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors. The ED is responsible for organizational leadership, people management, governance support, and external relations, while overseeing GLHA’s operations at a strategic level.
Working closely with the Board, the ED ensures the Board is well supported, informed, and positioned to govern effectively. Internally, the ED leads and develops the staff team, sets clear priorities, and ensures systems, finances, and relationships support the long‑term sustainability and stewardship of GLHA.
