Key Responsibilities :
Fountain Tire offers health, dental, life, accidental death and dismemberment, short and long-term disability insurance, employee and family assistance program, mental health coaching, retirement savings program, employee service awards, and scholarship programs to our associates.
As primary point of contact of these programs, you will :
Answer questions from associates and managers, and troubleshoot / escalate issues to vendors as requiredEnsure effective communication of programs through online, in store, and electronic communication so that associates and managers understand the coverage offeredValidate and pay program invoices and rebill within the organizationWork in collaboration with Payroll to ensure efficient benefit administration, such as changes to existing members and terminationsSupport contract negotiations and implement rate or program changes following contract renewalSupport managers in communicating the value of the benefits programs to associatesWhat does it take to get on track?
Degree related to Human Resources Management and 1+ years of benefits management and / or payroll experience in a multi-provincial environment; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredCertified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an assetPrior benefits administration, payroll, or accounting experience with a working knowledge of benefit cost accounting practices would be a definite assetWorking knowledge of HRIS tools and reportsStrong organizational and time management skills in order to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently, make decisions within defined guidelines and make recommendations based on experience and judgmentDemonstrated professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive associate informationAt Fountain Tire, you would have a great place to work!
