Laser Operator

Experience Required : Minimum 4 Years

We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator with at least 4 years of hands-on experience operating laser cutting machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser equipment to produce high-quality parts while meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines (fiber / CO , as applicable)

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders

Load and unload materials (sheet metal, steel, aluminum, etc.)

Perform machine adjustments, offsets, and basic troubleshooting

Monitor cutting quality and make necessary corrections

Conduct routine machine maintenance and report issues

Ensure parts meet quality specifications and tolerances

Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Meet production targets and deadlines

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience as a Laser Operator

Strong knowledge of CNC laser machines and controls

Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints

Experience working with various metals and thicknesses

Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Familiarity with quality inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work shifts and overtime if required

Preferred Skills (Asset)

Experience with nesting software

Forklift or overhead crane experience

Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
