We are hiring an Internal Business Development Manager Excalibur!Reporting To:Vice President Residential Sales--Business DevelopmentFull-Time/Part- Time:Full-timePosting Date:January 6 2026Closing Date:January 20 2026Hours of Work:8:30 a.m. 5:00 :Office Location: 66.7CalagaryGreat location! Steps away from the main public transit station What we offer:Highly competitive compensation package which includes base salary bonus benefits and career advancement opportunities! *Eligibility for benefits is dependent on the terms of employmentThe Opportunity The Internal Business Development Manager (Excalibur) is responsible for perpetuating the growth of Excaliburs portfolio categorized as Alternate A by contacting educating and servicing mortgage brokers. How you will contribute: Service portfolio of new and low producing mortgage agentsLog any significant conversations with mortgage agentsDevelop and build business relationships by making outbound calls to brokers/brokeragesManage/update labels database including initial set up with broker clientsCommunicate daily with Business Development Manager and underwriters Actively search for new brokerage firms and agentsDevelop and implement marketing initiatives through various mediums that will generate more volume Attend conference calls and other meetings with Senior Management to converse on volumes trends industry news issues and strategiesWork independently and with the team to achieve common objectivesComplete special projects and duties as assigned Adheres to policies/procedures to ensure AML requirements are met when applicableThe experience you need: Good organizational skills including project management and the ability to undertake and complete multiple concurrent tasksCompetency in Microsoft Office; capacity to learn new technologies/systems Excellent communication skills including presentation and negotiation skillsDeal effectively with difficult customer situations to maintain customer satisfaction and loyaltyAbility to take initiative and work independently on projectsExcellent customer service skills with a high aptitude for building client relationships Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to demonstrate initiative confidence and resilience in everyday situationsSelf-directed and motivatedWork towards individual and team objectivesUniversity degree preferred with a focus on Sales or Business and/or equivalent work experienceExperience working with brokers or full understanding of the mortgage broker processWorking Environment and Physical Demands Analysis:Office environmentPeriods of high volume with tight timelinesLong periods of stationary position/sittingProlonged periods of repetitive movement (i.e. using a keyboard and mouse)Long periods of time in viewing a computer screenMulti-tasking may include speaking to customers on a telephone call while looking up information on a computer join First NationalCompetitive Compensation Comprehensive benefits program (i.e. Health Spending Account Maternity and Parental Leave Top Up)Extensive training programs to set our employees up for success Modern office environment conducive to collaborationSupportive teamwork culture Opportunities to give back to the communities and work through events focused on a variety of charities Ongoing social events throughout the year The team youll join: Founded in 1988 First National is one of Canadas largest non-bank lenders.
