Healthtech is currently searching for dynamic and collaborative Senior Vice President (SVP) who has a detailed understanding of operations, corporate structures, and business strategy.
The Senior Vice President must successfully manage and expand Healthtech’s organizational objectives and deliver long-term performance gains to the company.
In this role, the Senior Vice President will be required to set company objectives, develop business strategies, secure business development opportunities, and department performance evaluations, report to and participate in company leadership meetings as well as manage their respective division.
The Senior Vice President will be primarily responsible for Business Development, Client Delivery, Leadership and Development, and Team Development.

- Ensuring the success and development of all departments within the Healthtech organization.
- Overseeing daily operations and performance for your division.
- Assessing, evaluating, and reporting on staff as well as key business indicators.
- Strategizing and implementing operational and structural changes with other senior executives.
- Providing oversight and support to the division’s VPs and managers.
- Researching and identifying new business ventures for the company.
- Performing regular analyses of business operations and enhancing current business practices.
- Preparing, delivering, and presenting reports at key executive meetings.
- Ensuring that spending and budgeting are in line with business objectives and relevant legislation.
- Establish new markets for the company’s products or services through research and development activities.
- Leading strategic account plan development and implementation including selling engagements to clients.
- Collaboratively working with business development and marketing support team(s) as well as other colleagues to identify and plan for key initiatives and / or projects required to achieve growth within the portfolio.
- Effectively managing and maintaining long term healthy existing client relationships.
- Ensuring the timely and effective development and delivery of client proposals to satisfy Healthtech’s growth targets.
- Demonstrating a high sense of urgency, ability to independently drive opportunities, and bring new clients and opportunities to Healthtech.
- Maintaining industry expertise in challenges facing healthcare organizations and how Healthtech’s solutions are aligned to solve problems and bring value to the organization.
- Supervising and participating in the development of RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, bids, contracts, and proposals for services.
- Leading and managing teams of Healthtech colleagues to design and deliver all client services.
- Serving as the primary executive contact for clients and prospects within the practice.
- Overseeing client projects and overall accountability for the effective performance of the team and the quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery of deliverables to clients based on client assignment requirements and Healthtech quality service standards.
- Identifying client needs and responding attentively to inbound client resource requests providing excellent customer service through creative problem solving in addition to timely and professional communication.
- Organizing the complete and effective adoption of Healthtech’s methodologies to ensure effective client delivery while setting appropriate standards for client services and educating colleagues to same.
- Successfully guide and / or develop customized written proposals and presentations.
- Liaising between clients and internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of Healthtech solutions while coordinating the application of effective cost management principles with respect to client assignment requirements.
- Guiding management of client escalations, identifying solutions to address the situation, and how Healthtech can prevent future escalations.
- Participating in an annual strategy, business planning, budgeting, and identifying business cases and strategies for sustaining and growing Healthtech’s position as a Healthcare IT leader in Canada.
- Understanding market position, actual business results against budget / growth targets, reporting to colleagues and senior leadership for review and understanding.
- Actively participating in business intelligence information gathering, analysis, and reporting and recommend strategies and / or tactics to anticipate or respond to market, economic, or customer trends and issues and project growth opportunities in various geographical / service line areas.
- Identifying planning, recommending, and then building the services methodologies / consulting processes / tools and performance standards.
- Leading the deployment and application of policies, practices, models, systems, standards, and methodologies.
- Providing day-to-day management and team leadership, including responsibility for performance management, recruitment, and ongoing professional development.
- Mentoring and developing team members in client engagement, opportunity development and opportunity management.
- Coaching team members on prospecting, account strategy, proposals, and client meeting preparation.
- Developing effective relationships as indicated by internal measures and partnering collaboratively with other internal teams to support the needs across the organization while ensuring teams operate at maximum efficiency.
- Leading internal initiatives to enable continuous improvement of the department.
- Support the ONE Nordic approach to the market.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- 10+ years professional experience in Healthcare IT required.
- 7+ years’ experience as a senior leader of a division or department, including responsibility for financial performance and experience leading service-oriented teams within a healthcare, consulting, or healthcare IT vendor organization.
- Experience managing projects and people and a solid understanding of software and software implementation services are required.
- Experience growing teams and scaling appropriately to successfully manage growth required.
- Exhibits business acumen, including a basic understanding of financial metrics and how to lead a team in alignment with organizational goals.
- Proven ability to connect with a wide range of new people and build quick rapport.
- Proven business development skills.
- Prior experience utilizing CRM systems a plus.
- Comfortable talking with people at all levels of an organization in groups or one-on-one.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate and embody Healthtech / Nordic’s maxims.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the work environment and to alter approach or method to successfully lead change;
reacts well under pressure.
