Responsibilities :
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of inmates to determine mental health status, risk factors, and treatment needs.
Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and anger management.
Collaborate with other members of the correctional facility staff, including correctional officers, medical professionals, and social workers, to develop comprehensive treatment plans for inmates.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss inmate cases and coordinate care.
Provide consultation to correctional staff regarding inmates' mental health concerns and behavioral management strategies.
Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records of all psychological services provided to inmates.
Stay informed about current research and best practices in correctional psychology to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health care services.
