We are hiring an IT Systems Specialist focused on user computing to join our IS team.
We are looking for a committed and dedicated individual with an interest in ensuring all users receive a high and consistent level of IT customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to kick‑start their career in IT and gain valuable hands‑on experience in supporting and managing end‑user computing technologies. We will provide comprehensive training and support to help you succeed in this role. You will work closely with our team of experienced IT professionals, gaining exposure to a variety of technologies and systems.
You will
- Ensure meeting room checks follow the meeting room checklist
- Maintain IT stock levels
- Process application access and removal tickets
- Complete tier 1 support tickets
- Handle small furniture moves setting up workstations and arranging meeting rooms for various meeting types
- Prepare new computers
- Recondition old computer stock for redeployment
- Verify accuracy of our internal inventory systems
- Manage cables and decommission older hardware
- Perform basic troubleshooting, such as a monitor replacement
- Set up new employee workstations
- Ship out equipment to remote employees
- Perform maintenance as needed on printers (replacing ink, paper, etc.)
- Review email distribution lists for accuracy
- Perform IT orientations for new hires as part of their onboarding process
- Complete other duties as assigned
