What is the opportunity :
Reporting to Director, Careers in Energy, the Program Manager, Careers in Energy will promote resources and tools to ensure that job seekers are aware and educated to the different careers within the energy industry. This position will look for opportunities to expand CIE funding opportunities to build and expand upon current CIE services, resources and tools.
What will you do :
- Manages assigned programs / projects to meet budget and timeline targets, completes regular forecast, metric, and project status updates.
- Promote the resources and tools for career planning, upskilling, and transition resources through stakeholder consultations and outreach, career and hiring events, tradeshows, and industry events.
- Conducts research for new funding opportunities, identifying potential partners, writing and submitting proposals for approval.
- Lead project close-out activities, metrics, and final reports.
- Supports the development of proposal budgets, including the supporting contract management processes such as RFI, RFP, and contract initiation forms.
- Contributes to the development of content i.e. blogs, resources, communication and marketing plans.

What you need to succeed :
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, Project Management or related field an asset7+ years of project managing or equivalentExperience in career coaching is considered a strong assetExperience working in and having a good understanding of the energy industry in CanadaProficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Outlook, Excel, Power PointWorking knowledge of workforce development, labour market analysis and career development / transitionHigh degree of accuracy and detail orientedExemplary interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and contractorsExemplary interpersonal skills and exceptional verbal, written and oral communication skillsStrong project management and organizational skillsStrong facilitation and consensus building skills- demonstrates diplomacy and tactComfortable and confident with public speaking and delivering presentationsWhat’s in it for you :
