The Junior Project Manager plays a key support role within our Power Generation Projects team, assisting with the coordination and execution of power generation projects from initiation through to delivery and close-out. Working closely with senior Project Managers, Sales, and Technical teams, this position supports project planning, procurement, scheduling, and documentation while ensuring all activities are aligned with Total Power’s standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
This role offers a development pathway toward a full Project Manager position and provides exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle within Canada’s leading power generation solutions provider.

Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination and Support
Assist Project Managers with coordinating all phases of power generation projects, including technical reviews, submittals, procurement, logistics, and commissioningSupport preparation and tracking of documentation such as drawings, purchase orders, equipment lists, and customer submittalsReview and understand customer requirements, ensuring alignment with scope and specificationsAssist with developing project schedules, monitoring milestones, and updating progress reportsTrack and report on project costs, supplier deliveries, and change orders under guidance from the Project ManagerMaintain organized and complete project files within Total Power’s project management systemsCommunicate effectively with internal departments—Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, and Service—to ensure project milestones are achievedParticipate in meetings with customers, consultants, and suppliers to support information sharing and relationship buildingAssemble as-built documentation, final reports, and project close-out packagesAssist in preparing bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, and schematics as requiredCustomer and Supplier Relations
Provide professional, timely, and courteous communication to clients and vendors under the supervision of a Project ManagerSupport coordination with suppliers to confirm order accuracy, delivery timelines, and technical complianceEnsure that all external communications reflect Total Power’s standards of Integrity and professionalismContinuous Improvement and Learning
Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and improvement opportunitiesContribute to refining project documentation, templates, and internal processesAdhere to all company safety policies and actively participate in Total Power’s health and safety initiativesPursue continuous professional growth through company-sponsored training and mentorship from senior project leadersRequirements and Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in a project coordination, technical, or related role (experience in the power generation, electrical, or industrial sectors preferred)Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceBasic knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and generator applicationsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Microsoft ProjectExcellent written and verbal communication skills for professional correspondence and reportingUnderstanding of Canadian Electrical Code and CSA standards is an assetFamiliarity with AutoCAD or similar drawing software is considered an advantageHighly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable, with the ability to work collaboratively within a teamProfessional conduct consistent with Total Power’s core values of Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, and ExcellenceValid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites or supplier locations as requiredWorking Conditions
Primarily office-based with occasional travel to customer sites, suppliers, or project locationsManual dexterity required for computer use and handling technical documentationOccasional overtime may be necessary to meet project deadlinesAbility to lift or move up to 10 lbs as neededThe Junior Project Manager role provides an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience and mentorship from industry experts at Total Power.
