About this opportunity :
Working out of Drayton Valley, the Senior Field Business Technician plays a key role in supporting Field Operations within the Conventional business unit.
Reporting to the Senior Field Manager, this role provides critical support across various teams, including Operations, Maintenance, Asset Integrity, and HSE, ensuring alignment and efficiency in day-to-day operations.
While the primary focus is on district-level support, the Senior Field Business Technician will collaborate closely with peers across the broader Conventional team to maintain consistency and share best practices.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to multiple functional areas, driving operational success and supporting field staff in meeting their objectives.
What you’ll do :
Provide ongoing development and support to field operations teams, enhancing workforce skills and effectiveness
Manage daily operations of the Central Area Office, ensuring smooth workflows and efficient resource allocation
Handle financial responsibilities, including SAP processes and invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
Support company-wide conventional initiatives, contributing to strategic goals and operational success
Assist field staff in their day-to-day activities, offering guidance and resources to optimize performance
Who you are :
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements :
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Minimum 8+ years of administrative experience would be key, with previous lead or management experience in an administrative setting being preferred
An Administration or Business Diploma would be an asset
Experience with SAP would be preferred
We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol / drug assessments.
