Bulk Milk Tanker Driver Duncan

Bulk Tank Driver – responsible for safe, efficient operation of bulk transport vehicles and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of bulk transport vehicle.
• Adhere to safety practices and procedures.
• Adhere to Dairy Industry Act and Regulations.
• Maintain strong communication with peers, customers, and General Manager / Operations Manager.
• Fuel vehicle, check oil, and report required repairs / maintenance.
• Maintain logbooks / records on mileage, report all accidents and turn in paperwork timely.
• Load truck with minimal to no product loss.
• Unload truck with minimal to no product loss.
• Clean exterior and interior of bulk milk trucks and tanks.
• Maintain excellent attendance and clean work habits.
• Climb ladders to top of bulk tanks to check levels and cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as required.

Working Conditions

Physical Demands : Climbing, lifting, pulling, sitting for long periods, and managing awkward objects. Driver must be prepared to work in all weather conditions.

Environmental Conditions : Must work outside in all weather, possible noise, vibration, poor weather, heavy traffic. On producer’s property may encounter icy, muddy, wet conditions.

Sensory Demands : Exposure to noise and unpleasant sights and smells.

Mental Demands : Must handle multiple collections efficiently, work independently, maintain a schedule. Problems or inconveniences may increase stress. Noise, vibration, poor weather, or heavy traffic may cause mental stress.

Qualifications

Hours of work : Undetermined relief schedule – minimum of 40 to 50 hours per week.
