Role Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for delivering complex, client-facing initiatives that require coordination across internal teams and external business partners. This role works in close partnership with delivery management and governance teams while serving as a trusted delivery lead for external stakeholders. The Project Manager ensures successful outcomes by managing scope, timelines, risks, financials, and stakeholder expectations across organizational boundaries.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of initiatives in alignment with established delivery standards, governance models, and best practices
- Partner closely with delivery management teams to ensure consistent reporting, financial oversight, and overall delivery health
- Serve as the primary delivery point of contact for external stakeholders and participating business partners
- Plan and manage initiatives that require integration across systems, processes, and third-party partner capabilities
- Coordinate delivery activities across multiple organizations, vendors, and internal teams
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, dependencies, and resource forecasts
- Provide clear, regular status reporting to internal leadership and external stakeholders
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage cross-organizational risks, issues, and dependencies
- Oversee project financials, including forecasting, burn rates, and change management
- Facilitate project ceremonies, working sessions, and executive-level updates as required
- Ensure delivery quality and adherence to agreed delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, hybrid)
- Support continuous improvement through lessons learned, retrospectives, and delivery feedback
Requirements
Proven experience managing client-facing projects involving external business partner or vendor integrationStrong understanding of system-to-system integration concepts, data exchange, and cross-organizational workflows at the delivery levelDemonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups with differing priorities and governance modelsExperience working with third-party vendors, partners, or platform providersStrong communication, negotiation, and facilitation skillsSolid experience in project planning, risk management, and financial managementFamiliarity with delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet, or ConfluenceAbility to operate effectively in environments requiring confidentiality and information sensitivityNice to Have
