FRIM Teacher at École Westhaven School

Position : Full‑Time Interim French Immersion Elementary Generalist

Location : École Westhaven School - Edson, AB

Start Date : Duties to commence as soon as mutually agreed upon, until June 30, 2026

Hours of Work : 1.0 FTE Monday‑Friday

The competition will remain open until January 5, 2026 at 12 : 00 PM MST.

An English, French Immersion and Montessori school in Edson, Alberta which resides in the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division. An elementary school providing excellent education in both English and French to grades JK‑5, as well as Montessori program for K‑2.

Role And Responsibilities

• Providing instruction to promote high quality student‑centered learning.
• Designing and preparing lessons based on curriculum and following a variety of methodology in teaching and instructing students, including lectures, demonstrations and discussions.
• Facilitating inclusive educational practices to maximize educational opportunities for all students.
• Reviewing and evaluating each student's performance, knowledge and skills and meeting all reporting and assessment deadlines.
• Adhering to provincial legislation, board policy and division administrative procedures.
• Developing constructive relationships with parents.
• Modelling commitment to professional development.
