Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk for a department at a company in the Wholesale Distribution industry. The Accounting Clerk duties will include matching invoices to purchase orders / vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A / P) and Accounts Receivable (A / R). This is a short-term contract / contract / contract / temporary to hire  employment based in the Langley, British Columbia area. How you will make an impact - Rectify discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Group documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes - Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources - Companywide accounting : help with G / L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects - Collaborate with Accounts Receivable : apply cash receipt, process daily invoices / credit, and help with collection of past due balance - Post financial information to journals and ledgers - Help Accounts Payable : A / P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

Job Requirements :

• AA or BS / BA in Accounting or related field preferred - Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data - Ability to multitask effectively - 1+ years of relevant experience - Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system - Accounts Payable (AP) experience - Bank reconciliations experience - Deep understanding of general ledger - Microsoft Excel experience preferred
