The Solution Delivery Architect is accountable for the selection, design and deployment of high quality products and solutions across the enterprise.
As a Solution Delivery Architect you will provide leadership for the solution architecture function, working collaboratively with stakeholders in the evaluation, design and implementation of solutions which are compliant with our reference architecture. You will collaborate with the Solution Analyst to identify and recommend solutions that align with our reference architecture and support business needs.
This role demands hands‑on leadership working with a core team of technical professionals following a hybrid agile (design thinking) delivery methodology.
As an experienced resource you will also guide and advise less‑experienced Solution Architects. You will facilitate the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions, including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise.
Day in the Life
- Support the development and evolution of YEG’s reference architecture, patterns, and integration standards
- Evaluate proposed solutions and architectures for alignment with business goals, technology stack, and security frameworks
- Provide expert input on the selection and adoption of tools, platforms, and design approaches
- Work with project teams to guide architectural decisions throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Participate in solution design reviews, data flow validation, and integration assessments
- Serve as a liaison between delivery teams and enterprise architects to ensure consistency across portfolios
Documentation & Enablement
Document system architecture, interface maps, and data flow diagramsCollaborate with business analysts, system owners, and vendors to capture and validate solution designsPromote reusability, interoperability, and reduction of technical debt through documentation and standardsYou Have
Education & Experience
Post‑secondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field with 7+ years of experience in multiple IT areas and 4–6 years of relevant architecture and integration experience.Preferred TOGAF certification. Zachman, DoDAF, FEAF certifications are also preferred.Deep familiarity with modern enterprise technologies (cloud, APIs, data platforms, authentication, infrastructure)Experience working within formal project delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)Competencies and Knowledge
Strong sense of accountability - strong personal initiative; can‑do attitude; self‑motivated to do his / her best to get things done.Strong demonstration of teamwork; ability to work with diverse teams in a dynamic, fast paced environment.Senior level experience within an integration architecture : SOA, ESB, API Gateways, IoT, Data managementExcellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills with an ability to translate business requirements and outcomes into pragmatic and effective solutions.Skilled at producing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and review artifactsDemonstrated experience with Service Oriented technology Architectures (SOA) and web services.Strong working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and project management practices (Agile and Design thinking).Ability to develop strong working relationships with cross‑functional stakeholders in IT and business managing competing priorities in a dynamic, fast paced environment.Mentoring and coaching skills – able to coach and mentor members of the technical team who may be transitioning to new roles.Ability to work effectively with vendors and contract service providers, including offshore development teams.Attention to detail, conceptual modeling skills, bring value to the process of change management, risk assessment, building relations and teamwork.Leadership skills - Ability to manage / lead group of resources to complete tasks.Technical writing skills - ability to assist in writing technical documents such as design documents, context diagrams, test scripts, support documentation, etc.Strong problem solving abilities.Ideally, has experience in the Airport / Airline industry and / or Transportation & Tourism Field.Ability to secure and maintain appropriate airport security clearance and acceptable criminal record check is required.BAND : Pay Band 9
SALARY : $57.08 – $63.26 per hour
