Electronics Technician
Location Ottawa office and SGL field basesworldwide
Responsibilities
- Maintain sophisticated aircraft mounted airborneremote sensing equipment;
- Analyze acquisition data for quality control;
- Read and understand electrical and electronicdrawings;
- Maintain upgrades of proprietary real-time acquisitionsoftware;
- Perform real-time software testing;
- Build, test and design printed circuit boards (PCB);
- Fabricate, test and design acquisition systems;
- Write and draw assembly procedures; and,
- Work in Ottawa head office as well as at SGL fieldbases worldwide.
Qualifications and Experience
- Recent graduate from an ElectronicsTechnician / Technologist or a similar program
- Demonstrated experience in circuit board assembly andrepair;
- Knowledge of PC assembly and testing;
- Familiarity with printed circuit board manufacturingprincipal and design;
- Must have a valid passport or the ability to obtain avalid passport;
- Willing to travel globally for extended periods onshort notice;
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages an asset;and,
- Knowledge of Linux and embedded systems an asset.
