The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the Regional Team of Outside Sales Representatives (OSR’s) to drive profitable revenue growth within their assigned customer base. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in sales management, and the ability to develop and motivate a high-performing sales team.
What you will do
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of a focused sales strategy.
- Lead all aspects of team management including recruiting, on-boarding, coaching and performance management.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline ensuring sustainable growth in all market sectors and across all product categories.
- Direct the flow of information for sales activities (lead management, opportunity management (including price governance and contract negotiation)) and evaluate data to ensure that top-line sales and profit margin goals are met.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product management, procurement, supply chain and branch operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and vendor partners to increase market share and deliver profitable growth.
- Represent the company at industry events to promote products and services.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market developments to identify new opportunities for growth.
- As Wolseley continues to grow and enhance its operations, the Regional Sales Manager will be a leading change agent, contributing to the implementation of identified sales effectiveness and sales enablement initiatives to best leverage the knowledge and skills of their team.
- Direct the flow of information for sales activities and transactions (leads, billings, orders and contracts) and evaluate data to ensure that goals are met.
- Assist in the annual budget planning process and regularly monitor team expenditures.
- Respond to inquiries, research and resolve problems related to sales, and serve as liaison, working with other departments in the resolution of day-to-day customer service, administrative and operational issues.

Post Secondary education plus a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) year related experience, including a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years progressive sales experience, preferably within the wholesale distribution industry, or the equivalent combination of education and experienceIndustry product knowledge related to Company product lines and markets servedKnowledgeable of the competition and aware of strategy and tacticsProven ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of responsibility (internal and external) to prepare and deliver professional documents and presentationsConsistently meeting deadlines within a fast paced work environment and works effectively within time constraintsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in a team environmentExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenFluency in CRM (Salesforce), experience with integration of related apps such as ConstructConnect, ZoomInfo and other sales enablement toolsEach resume submitted gets individually reviewed by our team and retained for 24 months if other new and exciting opportunities arise that match your skills and qualifications.
