Job Requirements Master’s Degree in Education or a related field (or in the process of obtaining one) Valid Alberta Leadership Quality Standard (LQS) Certification, or eligibility for same Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate Exemplary teaching and administrative experience Strong leadership and management skills Commitment to establishing positive working relationships with staff, parents, and community partners Commitment to establishing partnerships and is knowledgeable about indigenous cultures, traditions and values Experience in multi-grade level classrooms Commitment to work with both Palliser School Division and Horizon Academy Society to lead the development of transformational approaches to learning Student-focused leader, with a proven track record fostering excellence in student learning in an inclusive environment Ability to provide effective leadership which fosters innovation, collaboration, respect and trust Ability to work in partnership with parents and other stakeholders to support student growth and development Strong interpersonal skills Conditions of Employment In order to maintain a safe and secure working environment, applicants new to The Palliser School Division must provide : Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector check from Local Police Service or RCMP detachment Social Insurance Number (SIN) card or document issued by Service Canada.
