JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role

We are looking for a Unit Manager, IT Support - On Site for our growing team!

AS a Unit Manager you manages, support and coordinates a team of technicians that focus on the acquisition, deployment, configuration, support and maintenance of local end user technologies and related software including computers and peripherals, and video conference equipment.

In collaboration with their superior, manages the performance of employees according to previously set expectations and company values. Also works in collaboration with all IT sectors for the projects delivery impacting the activities of the team and finally participates in reviewing, improving, and creating procedures and processes for their service

Position : We have 4 job opening. (Calgary ,Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City).

Office : We are in a hybrid work mode. Your presence to the office will be requires 3 days a week. You may have to visite other Intact offices in your province to meet with your team.

What you'll do here :

Oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the of IT technicians, such as schedule, workload and priorities.

Evaluate the team’s performance in collaboration with management team.

Provide regular and ongoing feedback, mentor and coach to the team to ensure strong development of employees.

Ensure the quality of the service delivered .

Ensure a high level of employee engagement and help create an environment where employees thrive by executing engagement action plans.

Ensure effective communication and collaboration with management and other teams in case of system failure or problem.

Be available 24 / 7 for the support of the operational team.

Participate in the improvement of operational processes and logistics.

Contribute to the company's business continuity plans.

What you bring to the table :

8 to 10 years of relevant experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or any combination of equivalent education and experience

1 year of coaching or management experience (major asset)

Knowledge of technology and ITIL

Is proactive and have strong organizational and time management skills

Solid experience and excellent customer service skills

Keen sense of urgency and can manage priorities

Can solve problems and make informed decisions

Can motivate and lead others and has excellent communication skills.

The unit manager might have to travel across the country to attend meetings and meet with employees.

Bilingualism (French- English),

No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
