SharePoint (SPO) Delivery Lead

Our client is seeking a Senior SharePoint Delivery Lead (Project Manager) responsible for managing a large-scale SharePoint migration project already in progress. This role combines strategic and delivery oversight, with a focus on leading the migration of enterprise SharePoint and DFS repositories, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and adoption enablement.

Must Have skills

SharePoint Online (SPO) site architecture, permissions, metadata, and modern site design

Led a minimum of 3 enterprise SharePoint migrations (100+ sites), including On-Prem to SharePoint Online and DFS repositories

Strong understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, permissions, libraries, metadata, and records management

Familiarity with complex migrations involving hundreds of folders and large content structures

Applied experience managing delivery, identifying risks, contributing to technical decisions

Stakeholder engagement and team leadership across cross-functional teams (Architects, BAs, Developers)

Azure DevOps (ADO) for task and sprint management

Experience with migration tools such as ShareGate

Responsibilities

Develop detailed SharePoint migration plans, project schedules, and rollout strategies

Establish standard processes for requirements gathering, content review, site delivery, training, and governance

Define and enforce governance frameworks and manage project risks, budgets, and dependencies

Create structured stakeholder engagement models and robust communication plans

Manage SharePoint site migrations using Agile methodologies and ADO

Oversee technical design, compliance, and implementation of M365 repositories

Develop and execute change management and training programs

Conduct workshops to address user pain points and drive continuous improvement

Document lessons learned and contribute to best practices for future projects

Other Information

5+ years of relevant project management experience

Experience delivering digital workplace or technology transformation projects

Demonstrated leadership in large-scale SharePoint migrations

Strong understanding of M365 environment and tools

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Exposure to compliance and retention strategies using Microsoft Purview
