POSITION SUMMARY :

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the proper storage and organization of materials in the warehouse while ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance to all export regulations. The position involves various responsibilities related to inventory control, shipping and receiving, and overall warehouse operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Stores materials and equipment in assigned locations and ensures each part or item is in its designated place, following 5S and Visual Management principles.
  • Fulfills and delivers work orders and inventory requests promptly, maintaining inventory accuracy and performing cycle counts as needed.
  • Registers all inventory transactions in the ERP system, including receipts, issues, and transfers.
  • Complies with all health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment within the warehouse.
  • Establishes and documents warehouse processes and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Collaborates with other multi-disciplinary teams within the organization to support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Generates regular reports on materials with expiry dates, including usage, disposal, and inventory levels.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to materials with expiry dates.
  • Manages dangerous goods accordingly to safety regulations.
  • Closes work orders.
  • Reviews sales orders and ensures all material is in the correct location to be shipped (both physical and in the system).
  • Considers quality in all aspects of the job and respects procedures and norms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

  • Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of related warehouse experience (medical device industry preferred).
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE :

  • Proficiency in efficiently coordinating warehouse operations, including storage, organization, and inventory control.
  • Ability to optimize inventory levels and understanding of inventory management principles, including FIFO, LIFO, and JIT.
  • Self-directed, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet shared objectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure at times managing a wide variety of activities.
  • Meticulous and detail oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Drive to consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances.
  • Holds self accountable to meet commitments.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety principles and procedures.
  • Adherence to quality control processes and standards.
  • Tasks that may involve lifting, moving, and handling heavy materials or equipment.
  • Ability to use pump trucks.
  • Knowledge of 5S and Lean Supply Chain.
  • Strong computer skills and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • ERP systems knowledge.
  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

  • Primarily warehouse environment with exposure to production work rooms when required.
  • Lifting (up to 50 pounds) and bending.
