The duties and responsibilities of a Vocational Instructor include continuing excellence in one’s field, instructional and professional duties, professional development and service.
Professional development activity that is intended to promote teaching excellence, subject area competence, and technical competence in the area of professional or instructional expertise.
Candidates must be committed to a team approach, demonstrate good written and oral English and have good interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional teaching record with demonstrated learner-centred teaching philosophy. Successful applicants will be an integral part of the team that will help Okanagan College realize the promise of a world-class college. Candidates will be comfortable in a computerized environment and demonstrate knowledge of programs relevant to their discipline. The successful applicant will be able to encourage communication between students and faculty.

Given on-call nature of position, schedule and frequency of instruction may vary. Program is taught primarily at the Penticton campus but may be offered at the Vernon campus as well.
7.5 hours per day.
Four days and would not exceed 30 hours.
Setup until Jun 30, 2026 but is not a guarantee of work for the entire contract period.
Salary range $71,846 to $115,129 annually; normal starting salary between $78,872 and $85, 897 annually, dependent on relevant education and experience.
