The Team
Our team the Office of the Chief Veterinarian Dairy Program is a small collaborative group committed to supporting safe and sustainable dairy production across BC. We value diversity and inclusion bringing together expertise in areas like animal welfare livestock management and regulatory compliance to serve producers and protect public health. As part of this established team youll work closely with the Lead Dairy Inspector and other specialists in a respectful supportive environment where different perspectives are welcomed and flexibility helps us meet the needs of both industry and community.
The Role
As a Dairy Inspector youll work directly with dairy producers across BC to make sure farms meet the requirements of the Milk Industry Standards Regulation. This includes conducting on-farm inspections providing practical guidance to correct issues and supporting producers through sometimes complex situations. The role combines technical knowledge with strong communication and problem-solving skills and we value diverse perspectives and approaches to help build trust and positive relationships with producers while ensuring safe high-quality milk for communities.

About this Position :
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 1 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent vacancies.
