Scout HR + Talent is representing our client, a local, reputable grocery distributer in Woodstock, ON in their search for a night-shift Warehouse Supervisor.

With the company’s dedication to providing high-quality service to consumers and community organizations, the Warehouse Supervisor will play an integral part of maintaining the company’s standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the team, and be hands-on as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Oversee a team of 8-10 employees working in the warehouse; picking & packing, shipping, etc.
• Picking items from shelves or bins (including refrigerated areas) according to order specifications as required on busy occasions
• Ensuring accuracy by verifying product correctness, codes, and quantities
• Inspecting of product to ensure quality standards at all times
• Packing orders securely and neatly for shipping
• Labeling of packages accurately
• Assisting with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Following all safety protocols and procedures to prevent incidents and accidents
• Completing all paperwork, documentation and reports in a precise and acurate manner

Skills, Abilities and Background :

• 2-3 years related leadership experience within a warehouse or production setting; preference given to experience within food or grocery manufacturing / distribution
• Background with inventory management ideal but not mandatory
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy a must
• Capability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 50 pounds)
• Stellar communication skills and team player mentality needed as needed to be a hands-on Leader
• Proficient computer skills and report writing capabilities required
• Ability to work night shift (flexible days of the week) and some weekends as needed
• Ability to work in a cooled environment for extended periods
