We specialize in facilities design, implementation, and operational assistance for natural gas, conventional, and heavy oil projects. Our clients include several of the largest oil & gas producers in Canada and worldwide. Currently, we are executing a wide range of sweet gas, sour gas, conventional oil, heavy oil facility, and pipeline projects.

Position Overview : Equinox Engineering is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse oil and gas projects, supporting the mechanical engineering team in delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the mechanical engineering team in completing assigned tasks and deliverables.
• Assist in equipment sizing, selection, and specification for mechanical systems.
• Review vendor equipment drawings to ensure design accuracy and specification compliance.
• Support the design of packages, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers.
• Develop and review mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Contribute to the development of P&IDs.
• Participate in field trips to client sites to determine the scope of mechanical tasks.

Assist in preparing engineering scope of work packages and procurement documents.
