Senior Accounts Payable Specialist
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for organizing and processing all invoices received for payment and ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely payment management.
He will work on a 5-2 schedule, combining telecommuting and working from the Montreal office.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of accounts payable clerks remotely (Ontario);
- Document existing accounts payable processes to adapt them to the implementation of the new ERP integrated management system (travel to Toronto may be required for a short period);
- Organize the reinforcement of the accounts payable team in Montreal in preparation for a significant increase in the volume of documents to be processed during the construction of the mining site infrastructure;
- Ensure proper documentation of supporting documents;
- Always adhere to workplace health and safety and environmental policies and rules;
- Perform any other tasks related to the senior accounts payable specialist position that are relevant to the success of the project.
Required Qualifications :
- A college diploma or professional studies in accounting;
- Relevant experience of at least five (5) years.
Technical Skills :
- Understanding of Procure-to-Pay process control principles;
- Ability to work in English;
- Experience with integrated ERP software desired (ideally SAP S / 4);
- Experience with MS Dynamics GP and Guide-TI software, (an asset).
