We are pleased to be partnered with the Sawmills group to recruit for a Finance Operations Analyst for their high-performance team in Saint John, NB.
We are looking for an energetic, early career professional to join their Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, reporting to Manager of FP&A.

Key responsibilities in this role will be :
- Working directly with business leaders to support strategic decision making through strong financial analysis and reporting.
- Analyzing financial statements and sharing insights with the business to drive improvement.
- Proactive trend analysis to help management understand potential issues and recommend corrective action.
- Maintaining an operating forecast and continuously improving the process of capturing new information.
- Calculating transfer pricing and conduct program / product profit analysis.
- Presentation of findings and specific recommendations to operations and management.
- Operational and financial KPI development and tracking.
- Analytical support for capital projects and initiatives.
- Building partnerships with a wide variety of stakeholders to assist with problem solving, analysis and business improvement.
- Leading initiatives, projects and be a tireless champion of business objectives.
The ideal candidate in this role will have :
- CPA designation, or near completion.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in an accounting, finance, analytics, continuous improvement or other quantitative-based position.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership capability.
- Able to work both as part of a team and independently.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Knowledge of TM1, Power BI, Tableau, Cognos or other database and reporting tools considered an asset.
