Assistant Controller

Our client is a rapidly expanding real estate development company located in downtown Vancouver. They have numerous high profile projects on the go in the lower mainland and around the Province of BC. Due to impressive growth, they have a newly created position for an Assistant Controller, who will report to the firm’s CFO. The successful candidate, who should be a designated CPA will prepare financial statements and a variety of financial reports relating to a large cross section of Joint Ventures, Limited Partnerships and Companies in their group. You will also prepare working papers for the auditors, tax returns and liaise with the bankers when they are requiring various reports on funds loaned. You will review monthly job cost reports and prepare monthly construction loan draws. You will also prepare monthly cash flow reports and handle government compliance requirements where required. Please note that this position is considered senior in the company but it requires a candidate that is willing to be hands-on and can work independently.
