Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site audits of erection activities, focusing on structural connections and installation quality.
- Verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Sign off on completed work and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
- Serve as the field liaison between engineering, erection crews, and quality teams.
- Apply PCI Erection Certification – Auditor training to uphold best practices and safety protocols.
- Provide daily feedback and reporting to site leadership and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Support transition planning for future plant operations responsibilities.
- Communicating effectively with both staff and management
- Additional duties as assigned
Technical Requirements
Civil Engineering degree or diploma (EIT, , or Technologist designation)PCI Erection Certification – Auditor considered an assetStrong understanding of structural erection processes, connection detailing, and field installation standardsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, erection plans, and technical specificationsFamiliarity with quality assurance / quality control (QA / QC) procedures in field environmentsProficient in documenting inspections and sign-offs using digital tools or field reporting systemsBusiness Requirements
Ability to coordinate with erection crews, site supervisors, and engineering teams to ensure alignment with project goalsStrong documentation and reporting skills to support compliance and audit trailsCapable of identifying and escalating non-conformances and recommending corrective actionsUnderstanding of project timelines, cost implications, and operational efficiencyWillingness to support transition planning toward plant operations and leadership rolesCultural Requirements
