Work Schedule
Day Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM
Afternoon Shift : 4 : 00 PM- 12 : 00 AM
Position Summary
The Quality Technician is responsible for in-process inspection and testing quality verification, ensuring that all QA test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly, and maintaining quality records as per documented procedures. The role ensures that materials and finished products meet all internal, customer, regulatory, and safety standards, supporting overall product quality and food safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform in-process inspections and quality testing throughout production
Verify compliance with quality, food packaging safety, and customer specifications
Operate and maintain quality testing equipment, including :
X-Rite (color measurement and Delta E verification)
BEL-20011 Tension Profiler (substrate tension monitoring)
Coefficient of Friction (COF) testing
Ice Water / Bucket testing for ink adhesion and durability
Ensure all QA bench-top equipment is calibrated and functioning properly
Document test results and maintain quality records in accordance with documented procedures
Identify, sample, and quarantine non-conforming materials
Support internal and external audits, including SQF requirements
Follow all safety policies and procedures and promote a safe work environment
Collaborate with production and printing teams to resolve quality issues
Qualifications & Experience
2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience in quality control / quality assurance strongly preferred
Experience in printing, plastic products, packaging, or food packaging is a strong asset
Experience working in an SQF-certified facility preferred
Hands-on experience using quality testing equipment
Solid understanding of quality processes and manufacturing standards
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
