Manufacturing Engineer / Technician (Dauphin, MB)

Job Summary :

The Manufacturing Engineer / Technician is responsible for providing production with the tools and guidance to

manufacture products that meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities Include :

• Provide shop floor drawings and specifications based on customer requirements
• Work with shop floor personnel to facilitate efficient production
• Communicate with customers regarding suggested design changes and technical questions
• Maintain production records in ERP software
• Design tools / fixtures to facilitate fabrication and ensure quality of production parts
• Create production processes that incorporate safety, quality and productivity
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities and special projects

Qualifications and Skills :

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar program
• Minimum two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with CAD and ERP software
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
• Experience with email and Microsoft Office products
• Aptitude and willingness to learn ERP software
• Present a professional image, attitude and behaviour

Work Schedule :

10 hours / day, Monday to Thursday (overtime as required)
