About the Role :

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join and lead our Accounts team, reporting directly to the CFO. This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Penrose Head Office, ideal for enthusiastic professionals eager to expand their skills and grow responsibilities within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead a finance team of three direct reports, fostering collaboration and development.
  • Drive financial strategy, planning, and forecasting to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Prepare high-level financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Manage cash flow, budget consolidations, audits, and compliance processes.
  • Oversee the accuracy of financial data and ensure timely reporting.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of revenue, expenses, profitability, and other financial metrics.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and financial reports.
  • Present financial forecasts, variance analysis, and P&L reports for Board reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with GST and FBT filings, meeting deadlines accurately.

Skills and Requirements :

  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • 3 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in team management and leadership.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with Xero or similar accounting software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must have valid NZ working rights.
