Journeyman Pipefitter – Fabrication Shop

With expertise in industrial, heavy civil, oil and gas, and mining sectors since 2009, our Fabrication shop specializes in design and fabrication of pressure piping, fittings, and vessels using alloy materials and advanced welding processes.
The Role
This full‑time, shop‑based position runs Monday to Friday with day and night shifts available. Future duties may include overtime, weekend shifts, or short‑term field work.

- 6 % vacation pay and 4 % statutory holiday pay on all regular hours

Responsibilities & Duties
Maintain equipmentRead blueprints and specificationsLayout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other processesDemonstrate knowledge of functional operation of piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, and grooving pipes, valves, and fittingsLayout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair pressurized piping systemsHydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as requiredUse testing equipment to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors
Maintain all tools, work area, and equipment in a clean, orderly fashionRead and interpret client and company construction fabrication drawings and specificationsRed‑line update drawings to as‑built conditionEnsure FLRA is completed at the beginning of every job and work is completed safelyComplete equipment maintenance in line with OCL Group and industry standards, procedures, and practicesMay perform other related duties as assignedMaintain shop cleanlinessKey Skills & Competencies

Registered Journeyman PipefitterPrevious experience in a shop or industrial fabrication environmentCSTS 2020 Fundamentals (includes WHMIS 2015)May be required to complete a pre‑access drug and alcohol test when working on certain sitesMay need certain safety tickets and complete site‑specific orientations for certain sitesClass 5 driver’s license with reliable transportationLegally eligible to work in CanadaOCL Group Inc. is an equal‑opportunity employer.
